Lead Cast: Laura Marano (Monica), Leigh-Allyn Baker (Liz)

As anyone could have guessed this movie was nonsensical, unrealistic, and dumb. I mean, if I was in its target audience age range (so…10-14?) I probably would have liked it more.

That being said…(deep inhale…deep exhale…) I still sort of liked it. Not because it contributed anything whatsoever to humanity, society, or even just the film industry but because of Leigh-Allyn Baker’s performance. She was awesome. She deserves 4.5 stars. The movie however…?

Okay the description for this movie is: “A buddy comedy about a high school tech-whiz whose prom day abruptly shifts into a wild ride across town, thanks to a down-on-her-luck cop and a jewel thief” (IMDB).

Baker plays the cop named Liz. Baker does a hilarious job of portraying said cop named Liz. I thoroughly enjoyed her role as the cop named Liz.

I don’t really watch Disney channel anymore…actually at all because it’s all dumb now. But I have seen an episode or two of that Disney show Good Luck, Charlie and Baker plays the mom in that show. Honestly I’m never particularly impressed with any of the actors on Disney Channel whether they be 5 years old or 85 years old or anything in-between. But despite all that Baker did a good job in her role as the cop named Liz. She was actual-funny and not stupid-funny. High-five.

Yep. Oh! Yeah I guess it had a good message or whatever about just being you and not relying on other people’s opinions but boy that was exaggerated like crazy in this movie and if there are people out there like that (like the main character Monica) then please get help. Also how did Monica afford…any of that technology when her single-parent dad is a nurse??? What? Anyway, not the point…for now.

Cheers.
