DAY #2 – TRANSLATIONS by Brian Friel & WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? By Edward Albee

Okay cearly I do not understand the concept/rules of this blog tag, do I? Either that or I simply rebel despite the rules. Once again I am posting more than one tag. Today I thought I’d go down the theatre/play script route because not many people actually read plays but even so they much to offer (although I can always feel their richness far greater when seeing it performed as it is meant to be). So I chose two plays that I enjoyed discussing in my Dramatic Literature class back in college to pull quotes from: Translations is a historical drama and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is a domestic comedy. Both are very well written plays full of depth beneath the surface of ink on paper. Any fan of the theatre should read or see these plays and even those whom are not can suffer nothing but the gaining of knowledge by pursuing these scripts as well.

Cheers.
