Ryann’s Questions:

If you could own any animal, real or fictional, what would it be and why?

A wolf-dog. They’re big, they’re loyal, they’re protective, they’re adorable, and although they need lots of space and strict training I would love to have one.

Which books top your “faves” list?

Ooo this is so hard! I really need a category breakdown for this haha Hmmm…noooo this is so hard! It’d be easier for me to tell you to check out my post: Favorite Books & Series

But for the sake of this post I’ll put down four books that I read a thousand times as a youngster: The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K.Rowling 🙂

If you could live in any fictional universe, which would you choose and why?

Hmm…my answer to this question is really influenced by who I’ll be in any said fictional universe. I’d love to be in Ketterdam assuming I’m tight with the Dregs and Kaz (but I’d probably die). It’d be awesome to live in Prythian assuming I get to be one of the High Fae and part of Rhys’ inner circle (but I’d probably die). And the list could go on (although I fear no matter where I end up I’ll die before the war is over). But ya know what? No matter who I was or who I knew, I’d be happy to live in Narnia or go to Hogwarts. #childhood (:

Because it’s just about dinner time while I’m writing this, what is your favourite food? Or your least favourite?

Buttered toast. I’m a huge fan of breads and my go-to is a lovely slice of buttered toast<3

A genie appears and offers you three, and only three, wishes! What do you wish for and why?

Ohhhhh man. A strong part of me would just never use the wishes because I’d be too afraid of all the strings attached or consequences unforeseen. But assuming that nothing terrible would happen then I’d wish for: 1) a happy successful career in something I love 2) a bit morbid but: to never need a doctor again (no broken bones, illness, just die peacefully in my sleep when I’m super old, etc.) 3) a wolf-dog that is my utmost loyal best friend forever and ever 😀

If everyone you meet from now on could instantly know one thing about you, what would you want them to know?

I am your master. Bow to me. Haha I’m kidding. It’d be nice for people to know that I’m an introvert and that that means that even if I’m not bouncing up and down spewing out constant thoughts during a discussion it doesn’t mean I’m not paying attention, I’m busy internalizing everything being said so I can have a better understanding to formulate an appropriate response or helpful contribution that isn’t ridiculous or already repeated by someone else. It also means: don’t call on me in class unless my hand is raised! Lol.

Have you ever read a book/series so good that you almost wanted to cry when it was over? What book/series was it?

I have 3 answers (sorry!). First was The Chronicles of Narnia. I absolutely loved that series as a kid (and I still do) and my thoughts just wouldn’t leave those books when I’d finished them so of course I just started all over and read them all again. Second, the Harry Potter series. Another childhood transforming series that felt incredibly momentus when the book series concluded (and again when the film series ended). Those two series really had a big impact on me because they helped define my entire childhood, who I became, what I became, how I became…

My third answer is the Chaos Walking Trilogy. I actually did cry my eyes out when I read the final book (which was embarrassing because I was in a cabin at a retreat with InterVarsity, but thankfully the other girls were either napping or enjoying the afternoon sunshine outside). This series is amazing and I’m so terrible at explaining it that people usually don’t believe me which is awful because it really is fantastic! It’s being turned into a movie starring Daisy Ridley and I couldn’t be happier but wow, the books! Well, even if no one else reads them or likes them I’ll still have my little fan club with friends from school haha

If you got to choose your own name, would you keep the one you have now or change it to something else?

Oh I would change it. I never really liked the name Angela (it always has this nasal twang to my ears that I don’t like). I tried getting people to use my middle name, Victoria, and call me Tori when I was in third grade but everyone said it was too late to change my name and refused. Rude. Ah well. Honestly I think if I changed it I’d consider…Feyre (no, it’s not because of ACOTAR, I’ve always thought that name sounded pretty). I’m honestly tempted haha (:

What’s your idea of the perfect vacation or day off?

The beach where it’s empty and peaceful. There’s no people, the weather is warm enough for comfort but cool enough for a light jacket, and the sky is perfectly cloudy. I’d spend the day walking the beach at sunrise, reading in a chair, just overall enjoying myself. But I also love the mountains, it would be just as perfect to spend the day casually hiking with a really good friend (:

If you could do any job in the world, what would it be and why?

This is a tough question. I couldn’t answer it in high school. I couldn’t answer it in college. And I still can’t answer it as an adult. Whenever people ask me this I almost cry inside from frustration because I don’t know. Perform in a Broadway show? Become a best-selling author? Direct and/or star in a blockbuster film? Travel the world or even just the U.S. and help underprivileged kids? Live in a little cottage in the middle of nowhere with no one but my wolf-dog and me to live off the land away from the government and social media and annoying people until one day my soul mate comes and I’m completely blindsided by a happily ever after as we take over the world? I’d be happy with any of those ❤

My Questions:

  1. Yep, I think we should keep the cute animal pictures coming haha Do you have any pets? If not then share a picture of your favorite animal 😉
  2. What is the first book that really got you into reading?
  3. If you could replace any character in a book/series, who would it be?
  4. What one book would you recommend I read (or anyone read) and why?
  5. What’s the best book-to-movie adaptation you’ve seen? The worst?
  6. If you could travel anywhere for a visit, fictional or real, where would you go?
  7. What’s your favorite breakfast food?
  8. Be honest, what’s your go-to before bed? Netflix or books?
  9. If you could bring one fictional character into your life, who would it be?
  10. What was your childhood dream (no matter how silly or serious)? And now?
  11. Can you say Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious three times fast? 😉

I nominate…

Siobhan @ I am a Book Drunkard
Jess @ Jess and her Books
Megan @ Bookslayer Reads
Ayunda @ Tea & Paperbacks
Bec @ Bec’s Books
M&B @ Closet Readers
…I’m going to pretend that if you round up from 6 you’ll get 11 haha (; It’d actually be easy to nominate far more than eleven blogs but I’m trying not to swamp everyone with tags or nominate people who’ve already done it. Although that being said please feel free to participate! I love reading your responses!

Thanks again for nominating me, Ryann! And I can’t wait to read everyone’s answers! 🙂

  1. A wolf-dog sounds like a great pet! 😂 And of course, living in Ketterdam would be pretty amazing. Especially if you were friends with Kaz and Jesper!! Thanks for the nomination, too!

  2. These are awesome answers! I think I might actually already be in love with your dog!! ❤ ❤ ❤

And I'm so glad someone else shares my love of Narnia!! That book series was pretty much my childhood, and every once in a while I still pick one up to read and get that book homecoming/nostalgia feel.

And I definitely understand the "what-do-you-want-to-be-when-you-grow-up" blues. I just finished my degree, so everyone keeps asking me what I want to do now, and it always takes a lot of self-control to keep from deadpanning and just saying, "Nobody wants that answer more than I do." There are just almost endless possibilities, it's a little intimidating to feel like you have to commit to just one or two.

    1. Aw thanks! 😊
YES NARNIA! Haha I’m so glad you get that homecoming feel too!
And right?? That’s an excellent response by the way, I might steal it(; It’s true though, there’s just so much out there that while I’d love to have one stable career to commit myself to, for now I’m sort of okay hopping around exploring life and being flexible until I hopefully find that one thing I’d be happy to do until I’m old (and have it pay my bills). Of course we’re young so I guess we can afford that luxury. Or maybe I’m just in denial. Lol.
