My Name in TBR Books Tag

I stumbled across this fun tag on Shanah’s blog – Bionic Book Worm. If you don’t already follow her then you need to check her blog out because it’s pretty great (: Anyway, this tag sounded fun so I thought I’d give it a go!

All the light we cannot see

All the Light We Cannot See
Anthony Doerr

This book sounds amazing but I keep putting it off because I can tell it will be a serious emotional rollercoaster so I’m waiting for when I’m in the perfect mood for it. I will read it one day!

name of the wind

Name of the Wind, The
Patrick Rothfuss

Piéra Forde recommended this one and it sounds truly epic. Unfortunately the bookstores near me only carry the really small paperback version with the microscopic font so I need to hunt down a copy made for full-sized humans with poor eyesight haha!

I absolutely loved RED RISING but I found myself putting off reading the sequel out of fear of what might happen next or who might die. I am not ashamed to admit that I checked up on the alive-or-dead status of a particular character and am now prepared to finally read this one 😜

ender's game

Ender’s Game
Orson Scott Card
1985

I’ve heard of this book for ages and I actually enjoyed the 2013 movie. Why I haven’t already read the book I honestly have no idea but it’s got a firm place on my TBR list and I am determined to check it out from the library soon!

Lost Boy: The True Story of Captain Hook
Christina Henry

I love the story of Peter Pan and more than that I love reading/watching adaptations of the classic tale. I also have a weakness for villain origin stories so this book is definitely up my alley!

angelfall

Angelfall

Angels are often avoided in movies/TV/books and I’m usually glad because they’re always portrayed poorly. I am a fan of the show Lucifer and have been curious about the show Dominion. I’ve heard some really good feedback about this book though and it sounds exciting so I can’t wait to finally read it for myself!

Well I had two ‘A’ letters and I tried my best to avoid counting a title that started with the word ‘A’ (or ‘The’ if my name had a ‘T’) but I think my name ended up showcasing a pretty good list of books! This was definitely a fun post to put together so if you want to give it a go then by all means do it 🙂

Cheers.

  1. This really was a fun tag, and it also goes to show that I still have quite a lot of books I still need to read lol😂
Seriously though Ender’s Game is pretty good. It’s not a perfect novel by any means, but it’s definitely worth checking out if you loved the movie.
I have seen the first season for Dominion and liked it quite a bit. It’s a pretty unique series with a very strange but also at the same time pretty cool vibe 😊 Great post! 😀

    1. Yeah I thought Ender’s Game had a really interesting concept and the movie was good so I’m definitely curious to compare/contrast it to the book.
Finally someone who has seen Dominion! I’ve been curious about it but don’t know anyone who’s actually seen it lol Glad to hear it’s decent. I’ll get around to watching it eventually!
As far as sci-fi goes though I definitely recommend the Red Rising series. I mean technically I haven’t finished it yet (obviously since book 2 is on this list) but I’ve heard nothing but good things and if the rest is anything like the first book then it’s going to be intense.

      1. That’s cool to hear. I will be adding those books to my (already way too big lol 😂), to read list. As for Dominion, yeah it really is a very unique series. It’s certainly not a show that will please everyone as it has a very strange vibe at times, but I quite liked it. Hopefully you will enjoy it as well when you get around to seeing it 😊
