Spun with the forbidden sweetness of iced tea and the darkness of country nights, Wicked Charm unfolds at a Southern pace a tale of two souls grown deep in the Georgia swamp as history, circumstance, and gruesome murders draw them together like a moth to a flame. Both wicked and charming this story is one that will seep into your skin like a Southern summer and stick like beads of sweat gliding down your neck.

As a former resident of the state of Georgia I can fully confirm the accuracy of every description of the heat and humidity. It brought back memories, although as a northern baby I prefer the snow to the sweltering summers of the south. I’m not really a southern girl but this book stirred up the best of southern comforts and ways.

Overall this book is told in such an alluring voice – calm, Southern, steady, and passionate. It is more than a romance, although a flame is ignited indeed, but it goes deeper into a story about life, love, and family. It showed how life can break you, change you, strengthen you. How life isn’t living unless you let in every feeling, even those that hurt. The murders and chilling mystery constantly fed energy and interest into the plot but even the moments of tranquility where Willow does nothing but sit in silence simply enjoying the sounds and sights of the swamp around her home filled the story with heart.

There is a depth to this book and a certain peaceful charm that had me mesmerized from the very first sentence.
