Merry Christmas everyone! This year, as you may know, I was supposed to be on my continued hiatus, but I can’t seem to resist sharing my thoughts on the books I read so here I am, emerging once again from hibernation to recap some of the books I’ve read this fall/early winter. Anyhow, this list features brief, one-line reviews so if you weren’t a fan of my usual sprawling review style then this is the complete opposite.
Any book recommendations for me to indulge in over winter?
Follow me on Goodreads if you’d like to keep up with all of the books I read, reviewed or not!

Romantasy | For once, TikTok did not let me down with this delightful fantasy RomCom that has a refreshingly fun lightness to it despite the ever-increasing stakes.

YA Dystopia | An intriguing new contender in the dystopian genre sporting fantasy-esque vibes.
Thank you to the author for sending me an eARC to read and review!

Fantasy Romance | This series has some of the worst most frustrating, cringey, ridiculous writing yet has won Goodreads Choice Awards and is a major bestseller and I could cry from the utter torment it has been enduring each installment.
I did have this book on my TBR but the only reason why I didn’t DNF book one and have continued through the series is because it’s a requested buddy read. That is it. *sobs* Someone save me.

Fantasy Romance | Way too much relationship drama filler, but otherwise an epic and entertaining continuation of The Empyrean series that’s a must-read for fans of dragons, battles, and romance.

Fantasy | Basically Throne of Glass but with Egyptian inspiration and yet despite the stark similarities it was still a captivating read.

YA Fantasy | This very much feels like classic peak YA fantasy with intriguing world-building, fun characters, surprising twists, and just that something that drags you in with no surrender.

Short Stories: Dystopian Romance | Some hit more than others but overall this was a satisfying assortment of characters under trial, love blooming betwixt the cracks of societies’ facades, and crumbling worlds built on possibilities too real to fathom.
Thank you to the authors for sending me an eARC to read and review!

Christmas RomCom | An utterly adorable fae Christmas romcom that gives the classic Rapunzel tale a fun twist.

Fiction | Utterly charming, flowing with whimsy, anchored in the varied shades of humanity, and simply a fabulous read that understands without judgement why some adults still wait for their Hogwarts letter and tap backs of wardrobes.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
