The Candy Book Tag

candy-book-tag

Thank you Dawlyn & Krista of @LittleBlindBookFinds for tagging me in this fun post! I’ve definitely got a sweet tooth and I’m obviously a book lover so I was excited to do it, here we go!

apples

Apples

Ah, healthy food. It’s deep, meaningful, and probably won a lot of awards, but , um, isn’t really your thing.

the sun also rises

Had to read this for school. I read it and took notes and wrote papers and aced quizzes but ugh what a load of pretentious sentences. Lol, sorry? It’s an absolute classic and people analyze it for college, etc. and I’m sure it’s profound but I just really didn’t care haha.

chocolate

Milk Chocolate

This is a book you’d recommend to absolutely everyone.

Six of Crows

I absolutely love this book and will recommend it until the end of time haha Maybe not to people who aren’t fans of fantasy but even then I feel like it’s a pretty good intro to fantasy. I dunno but I really love this book!

black jellybeans

Black Jellybeans

Why do these exist?

the martian chronicles

Anything by Ray Bradbury is a hard pass for me (except maybe Fahrenheit 451) but ugh. Yeah. NO THANKS, DUDE. So creepy and weird.

chocolate kisses

Chocolate Kisses

Awwww, this novel had the best romance!

a court of mist and furyRadiance

I cannot choose just one. I am sorry but it’s too hard to choose! ACOMAF is a fantastic fantasy and romance filled with forgiveness and adventure and strength. And Radiance is a beautiful romance that grows through a deep friendship.

gummy spiders

Gummy Spiders

Eeek! You made sure to check under the bed every night for a week after reading this scary one.

joey friends reading book freezer the shining

Technically I could put Ray Bradbury’s short stories under this one but it fit better under the nasty licorice jellybeans (lol). Uhh…okay I literally have no answer for this one…I guess I’ll go with…nope nope I have no answer. I hate scary movies so I stay away from them as well as scary books soooo…. Literally the closest I can get is psychological thrillers which mess with my head (SplitMementoHouse At the End of the Street, The Circle, Black Mirror…even the movie Our Brand Is Crisis is a fantastic grim tale). So I have no answer for you for this one. Sorry!

lollipop

Jumbo Lollipop

This took you forever to get through, but hey! You did it!

The Casual Vacancy

I mean this book wasn’t bad but it took me forever to get through and overall it wasn’t really my thing. I think the original Harry Potter series might be my only go-to for dear old J.K.

cotton candy

Cotton Candy

Admit it, you loved this when you were younger (you probably still do).

Uglies

There’s actually a lot of books that I could put down as my answer for this one but I decided to go with Uglies because it was one of my first introductions to the YA genre. There’s a lot of mixed views with this series but I loved it when I came across it at age 12 and I love it still 😉

This was a really fun tag to participate in so please feel free to do it yourself! And tag me so I can read your answers! 😊🍭
