Book One: RHAPSODIC

Well, let’s just say that I’m glad Laura has finally released the final book in the trilogy haha 😉

This book gives us everything we loved from Rhapsodic with the bonus of more time in the Otherworld! Reading about a sassy P.I. who also happens to be a siren with a feisty witch as a best friend may have been what lured me into this series but it was really fun getting to leave earth behind for a bit and read about the faerie realm. Not only that but we get to visit more than just Des’ Kingdom of Night.

The consequences of the epic finale from book one are not ignored during Solstice, an important week of politics and celebration for the fae, and the mystery of the Thief of Souls continues to plague the kingdoms. The others might prefer petty games and manipulations over the wellbeing of their soldiers but Des and Callie stay knee-deep in trying to discover who or what is haunting their realm.

So much happens in what feels like hardly any time at all but maybe that’s only because I couldn’t put it down until I’d read the whole story through. Callie facing her new claws and wings as she recovers from the horrors dealt at the hands of the King of Fauna, Des balancing his new mate and the fate of his kingdom as well as memories he’d much rather leave buried, Temper as a human torn between destroying the world on behalf of her best friend or maintain her morality and keep cool in the face of enemies, and all the fae kingdoms as they continue to thrive despite the weight of the dead and missing.

Lots of romance, lots of action, and lots of fae legends brought to the light, A Strange Hymn breathes deadly promises for what’s to come next. And I can’t wait.
