Spotlight: The Recorder

My list of anticipated 2021 releases goes up soon but I couldn’t resist sharing a little spotlight post about debut author Cathy McCrumb‘s upcoming dystopian sci-fi trilogy! The first book is currently titled THE RECORDER and I am honestly so intrigued!

I stumbled across this announcement and maybe I’m getting ahead of myself but regardless right now I am excited haha. Cathy herself teases her upcoming book in an Instagram post saying, “So, what is *in* the book? Mystery, a touch of creepiness, and, yes, some romance, all mixed into dystopian science fiction, and a young woman who has neither a name nor a family. Plus, as he would have me tell you, there’s Nate.”

The title may change, there’s no cover yet, the deal has only just been announced, but I will be keeping my eye on this one! I will certainly be adding it to my TBR the moment it’s on Goodreads and pre-ordering as fast as my internet will let me. I have a good feeling about this one and think that you’re not going to want to miss this new epic trilogy.

Enclave Publishing has shared that THE RECORDER is set to release in November 2021 and describes the story as follows: “Set hundreds of years in the future, the novel tells the story of a nameless young woman raised to serve the public, and what happens when she discovers her humanity for the first time.”

I wish they’d tell us more but alas we must beg and wait. Keep an eye on my social media and Goodreads for updates!
