Charting Stars is the beginning to a new YA fantasy series full of whimsy, adventure, friendship, magic, love, and so much more that will have you curled up in a pool of warm sunshine, sipping tea, and delightedly turning page after page as you follow this enchanting tale from beginning to end. This book was a very quick, fun read, and I’m certainly interested in reading what comes next! It’s also such a wonderful added bonus that, as Micheline Ryckman is an artist, we get to see these characters, places, and moments brought to life over on her social media. If you want a break from the trend of dark drama and angsty youths, looking instead for something simply fantastical that will carry you away to a new world, then this is absolutely the book for you. A perfect read as springtime begins to make way for summer (I don’t know why, it just felt like perfect timing to me haha).
