Adieu, May. Time for my post of one-line reviews for a few of the books I’ve read/finished this month. It’s short and gets to the point so if you haven’t been a fan of my usual sprawling review style then this is the complete opposite. Follow me on Goodreads if you’d like to keep up with all of the books I read each month.

An addicting start to a thrilling urban fantasy series set in Texas and featuring a quick-on-her-feet P.I. that I instantly rooted for.

An adorable, whimsical, exciting fantasy adventure.

Clever, thrilling, and wildly stressful…basically just a new YA remake of The Westing Game and “Where There’s A Will” (S3E2 of White Collar), but definitely still a good mystery to read and enjoy.

The book excellently weaves narrative with research into an easy-to-read non-fiction exposé, and the 2020 film delivers all of the emotion and heart beating behind the stories the book is built upon.

An exciting blend of action, assassins, conspiracy, and romance.
