One-line Reviews: July 2021

Bye, July. Time for my post of one-line reviews for a few of the books I’ve read/finished this month. It’s short and gets to the point so if you haven’t been a fan of my usual sprawling review style then this is the complete opposite. Follow me on Goodreads if you’d like to keep up with all of the books I read each month.

Note: Click on the cover of a book to visit either its Goodreads page or my full review if I wrote one.

She’s a cop by day and a vampire huntress by night and I started out liking Rainey, but then at some point she started getting on my nerves…lol.

A novella giving us a long sought after POV and my only major complaint is that it was far too short!

It was entertaining and quick to read, but it was also a murder mystery about a bunch of stressful (and stressed) “Influencer” teens making stupid, dramatic decisions.

A creepy, thrilling, can’t-put-it-down, Edgar Allan Poe-inspired mystery that will lure you in and hold you captive brick by brick.

A slightly whimsical adventure that transcends magical realms and illusions with a hint of steampunk…(My lack of a higher rating I’m convinced is a “It’s not you, it’s me” situation).
