Arrivederci, August. Time for my post of one-line reviews for a few of the books I’ve read/finished this month. It’s short and gets to the point so if you haven’t been a fan of my usual sprawling review style then this is the complete opposite. Follow me on Goodreads if you’d like to keep up with all of the books I read each month.
Note: Click on the cover of a book to visit either its Goodreads page or my full review if I wrote one.

An intriguing, unique faery tale with a leading lady who is more than occasionally as dense as a brick, but I enjoyed the many magical moments in between though overall I somehow felt both satisfied and left wanting.

1800s gentry meets futuristic dystopia featuring a cast of secret operatives with super powers…oh, and of course romance ensues.

Creepy, this one, but I read it swiftly and am impatiently waiting for the next book in the Mercyverse.

I’m sure this new YA Urban Fantasy book featuring a heroine from the hood is incredible, but I, for whatever annoying reason, struggled to stay focused and not just pick up something else to read instead (am I outgrowing YA, maybe?? *cries*).

Cool cover, awesome magic world, but I struggled to connect with/like Savannah (so if you vibe with her and are looking for a new urban fantasy to sink your teeth into then you’ll probably love this).
