Read my review here: BLACKHEARTS

Nicole was such a lovely lady and so much fun to chat with! I can’t believe I didn’t think to bring a camera to record the Q&A. All I can say is that she is a pleasure to talk to and is very passionate about her book (and with good reason as it sounds amazing!). We both talked a lot about how we love character development and how intriguing it is to read the journey of how a character becomes who they are (prime example we discussed was Captain Hook and the other villains from the show Once Upon a Time by ABC). Who was Blackbeard before he was the fearsome pirate? This book is a historical fiction romance exploring just that! Nicole even pointed out how Blackbeard’s pirate flag just screams symbolism for heartbreak, no? Oh but she did warn us that her story is landlocked but that’s because he’s not a pirate yet. This is the story that leads up to him making that epic change in his life. Blackbeard wasn’t born a pirate ya know, first he was a boy trying to figure out his life. If publishing is wise (fingers crossed!) then we’ll even get a sequel which will indeed be action-packed and flooding with swashbuckling pirates lording the seas! I hope you will give her book a read (:
