Cover Reveal | Crooked Kingdom

This is a belated post and I apologize but can we please shuffle past my bringing of totally late news and just talk about how utterly AWESOME this cover is??????? If I ever publish a book I want _____ to be my cover artist as well because clearly he/she does an absolutely stellar job. (I tried utilizing Google to find out who the artist is but Google has failed me. Or perhaps I’m just not searching deep enough…).

*drum roll*

Expected Publication Date: September 22, 2016

If you’ve been following my blog for a while then you’ll know
I’m a huge fan of Bardugo’s work, particularly her book Six of Crows which is the first in this duology. I have mixed feelings about this book’s release because on one hand I am positively quivering with excitement to read Crooked Kingdom but on the other hand the release of this book will mean the end of the series. I know this book is going to be epic even if it’s just half as good as Six of Crows.

I’ll post the book blurbs (via Goodreads) below and be sure to check them out! I really hope Bardugo gets to stop by Little Shop of Stories in Georgia again! It was awesome getting to meet her when she toured for her book Six of Crows! (Check out the Q&A here: Fierce Reads Fall 2015 Book Tour)

When you can’t beat the odds, change the game.

Six of Crows

crowKetterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone…

A convict with a thirst for revenge.
A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager.
A runaway with a privileged past.
A spy known as the Wraith.
A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums.
A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.

Kaz’s crew are the only ones who might stand between the world and destruction — if they don’t kill each other first.

Crooked Kingdom

Kaz Brekker and his crew have just pulled off a heist so daring even they didn’t think they’d survive. But instead of divvying up a fat reward, they’re right back to fighting for their lives. Double-crossed and left crippled by the kidnapping of a valuable team member, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city’s dark and twisting streets―a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of magic in the Grisha world.
