Guess what! I succumbed to weakness and ordered a copy of Leigh Bardugo’s latest contribution to her Grishaverse, a collection of short stories called The Lives of Saints. It’s just so pretty and I couldn’t stop my curiosity from wanting to read these tales! If you’ve been curious about this one as well then keep reading this post where I’ll include info on what the book is about, my review, and a look at the artwork inside! And don’t worry if you have no idea what the Grishaverse is, I’ve included a bit about that as well. Continue reading
Six of Crows
Collector’s Editions | Crooked Kingdom, ACOTAR, & Throne of Glass
Today I decided to share my latest acquirements: the collector’s editions for Leigh Bardugo’s Crooked Kingdom (fantasy) as well as Sarah J. Maas’ books A Court of Thorns and Roses and Throne of Glass (fantasy). I don’t really have the money to splurge on multiple editions of books but I loved these stories so much and the editions looked so lovely that I had to go for it. Keep reading for more on the books, my reviews, and sneak peeks into the bonus content included in these editions! (Bonus: I’ve also included a look at Embers of Memory, the Throne of Glass card game!) Continue reading

The (Birthday) Cake Book Tag
Sofii @A Book. A Thought. did this fun tag for her birthday and, well, I just couldn’t resist doing it for mine as well 😄 I’m now 24 and finding that simply impossible (I think reading YA has kept my mind young?? Or I’ve simply been stuck in denial that I could possibly continue aging past 17 until I had at least saved the world or something like every YA protagonist ever haha 😂) Technically my birthday was earlier this week but I like to stick to my MWF posting schedule soooo….today is close enough!) Cover Love
So today’s post is purely aesthetic 😊 We’ve discussed before how important a book’s cover is, it’s the first impression one usually gets with a book and can either convince you to whisk it off the shelf or wrinkle your nose in distaste. No one wants to be walking around reading a book with a stupid cover in public 😉 So I figured I’d put together this purely fun post where I share some of my favorite cover art! Continue reading
YALLfest 2016
This year I was lucky enough to go to YALLfest in Charleston, SC with a couple friends! We’d never been before but I was super excited to hang out and meet my favorite authors. There was a huge turnout for the event and while that was exciting it also meant very long lines. There were so many authors I wanted to meet but I couldn’t carry all those books and I knew it’d be next to impossible to have the time to see them all anyway so I managed to get my list down to 7 or 8 top authors. Well, did I mention how long the lines were? Yeah. They were intense so unfortunately I only actually ended up meeting 3.5 authors. Continue reading
