Hmm…I admit I only read the first book but I don’t think this genre of romance is quite for me. I must be old-fashioned haha I tend to swoon over a romance that’s more, well, romantic as opposed to the asshats prancing around this Academy lol. Oh I love the enemies-to-lovers trope but this takes things to a degree I just don’t vibe with.
Regardless of my romantic preferences this is still a fast-paced and addictive start to the series. The paranormal world-building, the magic system, the academic setting, etc. all came across really cool and interesting. Lots of potential for this series for sure! If you’re into dark and twisted paranormals running about with secrets and hidden motives and if you’re into a bunch of hot bullies ruling the school then this is definitely for you and you won’t find a pair of authors so talented at keeping you riveted to the page!
